We miss Baby like crazy, but MBGiant Toby needed a buddy, so we went back to Gentle Giants Rescue. Boy, were we surprised that the dog who chose us was a little mini goldendoodle! She fell in love with Roger and she’s coming home with us next week. She’s around 1 1/2 yrs old and a real sweetie. Help us name her! We need ideas!

Roger and I have adopted many furbabies in our 35 years of marriage. Baby is a 6 yr. old 155lb English Mastiff who came to us when she was 1 1/2 yrs old along with her 'brother' Toby (a Landseer Newfoundland). We adopted them from Gentle Giants rescue and they are, indeed, both Gentle Giants. Baby was diagnosed with bone cancer in January 2012. She just had her surgery on January 27th, 2012 to remove her right rear leg. She is recovering beautifully we are thrilled to have her with us!

Honey may be perfect! Although, I do call everybody honey, so she could be confused.
Notice the light in one of the pictures shining down on Roger and little giant? We decided that was Baby smiling.

She looks like MBBVP’s big blonde sister! Tow paws up for “Honey” and that is definitely Baby giving approval.
A mop?….Hmmm…. wonder if I could train her to roll around on the floor? I’ll let you know how that works out. ; )
Angel? That’s sure what she looks like! (Or maybe Angie as a proxy for Angel.) Baby definitely does seem to be smiling down her approval in that photo!
Schnoodle? heehee. Schnoodle, the Doodle. Too silly?
Bambina? As an homage to Baby… You could call her Bambi for short. (Does that sound too much like a pole dancer’s name??):)
Honey is good too, cuz she sure does look sweet.
She is an absolute doll and whatever you call her will be perfect. Keep us posted!

How about Theia- One of the 12 Titans. Theia was the Titan of sight and the shining light of the clear blue sky and the beam of light that Baby sent down sure made her shine!
Oh my, she is too cute! She is really lucky and so are you guys to find each other. How about Goldie? Let us know what you decide…..how fun for you guys.
What about Sweetie? If you call everyone Honey and don’t want to confuse her, you can pick something else sweet. Or Sugar. Maybe you’ll break out in song–Sugar Pie Honeybunch!
Whatever you name her, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am THRILLED for you guys because I know how empty the house can be, how clean it is without those damn dog hair balls floating around and how crazy quiet it is when you only have one dog howling at the sirens instead of two…or is that just me at my house? SO so so happy!
