Baby’s healing beautifully. Still draining more than I like, but getting around well and we’re seeing little improvements every day. She gets her stitches out Saturday. For some reason I’m in a panic about her making it through this week without infection or something happening. I’m not usually a negative person, but this is turning me into a worrier…big time! Anybody else have this reaction? Maybe it’s lack of sleep. I’m still listening for any little movement. Then I teach Jr. High kids all day! Recipe for a breakdown!
So much for my little pity party. I’ll post happier next time.
bless your heart!! we think it is definitely lack of sleep, stress, and on top of that jr. high kids (you must be a saint). take a nice long breath…hold it…slowly let it out. you are doing great, baby is doing great, and soon this scary stuff will be behind you. getting stitches out saturday will be great – you need to plan a party!!! hang in there, you are doing a wonderful job of juggling all that life is throwing at you!!

Thanks Charon and Spirit Gayle,
Yes, breathing is a good thing. Funny how we forget to do it when stressed. Party is a great idea – if we can stay awake!
I would say the whole freaking over everything is completely normal. What I don’t think is completely normal, however, would be voluntarily spending your entire day with junior high kids. That’s just sadistic. My son (and only child) is eleven and has hit puberty and I’m about to go postal!!! WITH JUST ONE!! You have my respect….and I will pray for you.

Once you’ve been through something this HUGE, it’s hard not to worry about every little thing… Especially if you are sleep deprived. Hopefully that will change, and you’ll settle into your new routine, and things will just continue to get better.

It’s amazing how much your encouraging comments help! Thanks!
Hang in there, it is the stress because I am going through the same thing without the added jr. high stuff. We will get through this together and hopefully be back to normal soon. 🙂
