Another first since amp… Baby’s tearing up toys to find the squeaker again!! Yay! She is an expert in the field of squeaker removal. Notice MB Giant Toby sulking with his back toward her – he kinda liked that toy… he says ‘darn that tripawd, and she won’t even get in trouble! ‘ Sorry Toby, sad but true.
Baby is also an expert in looking innocent and loving a toy even after squeaker removal.

Roger and I have adopted many furbabies in our 35 years of marriage. Baby is a 6 yr. old 155lb English Mastiff who came to us when she was 1 1/2 yrs old along with her 'brother' Toby (a Landseer Newfoundland). We adopted them from Gentle Giants rescue and they are, indeed, both Gentle Giants. Baby was diagnosed with bone cancer in January 2012. She just had her surgery on January 27th, 2012 to remove her right rear leg. She is recovering beautifully we are thrilled to have her with us!

Isn’t it great when the “old normal” appears. I’m so glad to be reading about Baby’s return to old behaviours. So comforting.

By the way, maybe you’ve seen these, but I just noticed them at the pet store…bags of squeakers to replace the ‘excised’ ones! I bet this would make Toby very happy.
