When we get home Baby and Toby are so excited they rush the door to see who gets to see us first. Note – thats 300 lbs of dog rushing us…. you get used to it.
Yesterday Baby slipped on a rug and did what I can only discribe as the splits, hmmmm can you do the splits with one leg? Tricky. Luckily she caught herself before she was too far down and was just a little sore last night. Scared me half to death! It was good for lots of message – she’s a happy girl!

Roger and I have adopted many furbabies in our 35 years of marriage. Baby is a 6 yr. old 155lb English Mastiff who came to us when she was 1 1/2 yrs old along with her 'brother' Toby (a Landseer Newfoundland). We adopted them from Gentle Giants rescue and they are, indeed, both Gentle Giants. Baby was diagnosed with bone cancer in January 2012. She just had her surgery on January 27th, 2012 to remove her right rear leg. She is recovering beautifully we are thrilled to have her with us!

My folks used to call me “Mister Stumbles” until I got that balance thing down. It didn’t take long. Glad you’re alright kiddo. Watch those slippery rugs!
Chili Dawg did the split (s) once or twice before he learned how to balance and stop after a run. After that it only happened on unfamiliar territory like when he’d go to the vet for a check up. Glad Baby was okay!
