Saw our regular vet today. He’s so happy with Baby’s progess! She got the rest of her stitches out and everything looks good. She also had stitches put in, sigh, because she got a small sore from her harness which tore like a piece of fabric. It was the weirdest thing! Doc Kunan stitched it up and she’ll be fine, but I was so mad that she had to have more stuff to feel pain about. Enough is enough already. Although, when I hear of some of you battling infection and recurring cancer I count my blessings. We have her, she’ll heal (although maybe not ‘heel’) and she’ll be fine.
Wags and Slobbers all around!

Glad to hear the rest of the stiches are out. Sorry to hear about more going in though. That is weird about the sore from the harness, what type of harness does Baby have? Where was the sore? How long do those stiches have to stay in?
Boomer has the ruffwear harness, so far so good.
We’re actually really happy with the harness. We got the ‘Get A Grip’ that’s on the website. It works well and she’s very comfortable in it.
Normally, I think we would have noticed the sore when it was just a little irritation and would have known to take the harness off more. I think we had it on too much the first week because we were so worried about how we would get such a big girl up if we needed to help her.
Baby never complained at all, so we didn’t look for or notice an irritation. By the time we saw it, it had already ripped to a long laceration. It’s about 6 inches long going across the top of her left rear leg from just before tummy going across the crease between the leg and body toward her rear.
Baby is brave and sweet and never complains, which is sometimes really scary because we don’t know when she’s hurting.
She’s doing fine now and, hopefully, we are done with stitches!
stitches out – YEAH!!!!!! sorry to hear there’s a harness boo-b00, but hope this heals quickly…. hugs to that brave girl!!

Yay for Baby!! I imagine the annoyance of some extra stitches is waaay better than the sore leg. Was this a ruff wear harness, or one of the strappy ones from the vet? We’re sending you good energy and all our positive thoughts!
